Educator Resource: Assembly Program

A Day in the Life of a Sanford Lab Scientist

Every day, people at Sanford Lab take a cage ride nearly a mile underground. During this presentation students get a chance to envision themselves working in an underground research laboratory.
Level
Early Elementary, Upper Elementary

Working a mile underground is uncommon. How do Sanford Lab scientists and staff get underground? What do they wear and what do they do? Your students will learn about “A Day in the Life” of a Sanford Lab scientist. There is even an opportunity to model some of the personal protective gear worn underground!
