Ann Metli

Ann Metli brings more than 15 years of experience in financial marketing to her current role as Director of Communications at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) in Lead, South Dakota. Originally from eastern South Dakota, Ann spent much of her career in Sioux Falls, where she led marketing efforts for national banks, savings and loan institutions, and a community bank. 

Her career path also includes a meaningful seven-year chapter with Girl Scouts—Dakota Horizons, where she developed a passion for nonprofit work and the power of mission-driven organizations to effect positive change. Ann sought to dedicate the remainder of her professional journey to an organization making a global impact. That search brought her to SURF, where groundbreaking science meets purpose.
