Stephen Kenny

Stephen Kenny has spent over 15 years behind the lens, creating photo and video content for marketing and communications teams across a variety of industries. In 2023, he left North Carolina and moved to the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota to work at the Sanford Underground Research Facility. At SURF, he’s focused on telling stories from both the surface and deep underground—always exploring fresh, creative ways and platforms to share the lab’s work with the world. 

When he’s not behind a camera, you’ll likely find Stephen knee-deep in a creek — fly rod in one hand, a kid in the other, soaking in the beauty of the Black Hills.
