Whether he’s preparing visitors for their underground experience or chatting with researchers from around the world, Jay helps create a welcoming and exciting environment.
Working with Jay
Jay’s career path has been anything but conventional. Before joining SURF, he spent five years as a neon glass bender, crafting custom signs, followed by a decade in directional drilling in the oil field. His adaptability, curiosity, and friendly nature make him an essential part of the team. He enjoys interacting with scientists, visitors, and interns, getting them ready and excited for their underground experience.

Outside of work, Jay is always up for an adventure and loves bringing creative ideas to life.
