Amelia Pearson
TRAINING SPECIALIST
Amelia Pearson has been part of the SURF family since 2017. She began her journey as Front Desk Support in the Reception Office, where her background in hospitality made her a natural fit for welcoming guests and staff alike. “I grew up in Deadwood — our house was connected to a motel, so hospitality is kind of in my blood,” she shared.
A few years later, Amelia made a move to the Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) team as an administrative assistant. Although she hadn’t planned on a career in safety, something clicked. “I started sitting in on standard reviews and various ESH meetings, and it kind of ignited something in me,” she said. Encouraged by the strong women in leadership roles within ESH, Amelia took a leap and recently stepped into her current role as a Training Specialist.

She’s known for her strong organizational skills, ability to delegate and prioritize, and her constant drive for growth. “I hate being stagnant. I’m always shooting for something bigger and better — and I wouldn’t be this way without the people around me.”
Outside of Work
A self-proclaimed homebody and introvert, Amelia enjoys quiet time with her family. She loves cooking, organizing, and taking walks with her dog. Together with her husband, they stay busy supporting their daughter’s activities — including Girl Scouts, religious classes, and caring for the family’s pet ball python!
