On June 17, the Department of Energy will hold a public meeting in Lead, S.D., on a new Fermilab project to gather public comments on the preliminary findings of the related environmental studies. Another meeting will be held June 18 in Rapid City, S.D. Part of the proposed facility would be constructed on the suface and underground at the Sanford Underground Research Facility. The DOE will use posters and short presentations and offer participants the opportunity to submit comments.
