Brit Porterfield is a Science Education Specialist with the Education and Outreach team at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF). With 15 years of experience in education, Brit began a teaching career in high school English and Social Studies before serving as an elementary principal and STEM teacher. These varied roles have shaped a well-rounded perspective on how students learn and grow. He is passionate about helping students discover science through curiosity-driven, hands-on exploration.
