A Day in the Life at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) combines the routine of traditional research with the unique reality of working nearly a mile underground in a former gold mine. For researchers, engineers, and support staff, the journey underground is as much a part of the workday as the experiments themselves.
This presentation will provide a glimpse into what it is like to work in an underground research laboratory. There is even a chance to model some of the personal protective gear worn underground!
