CUSSP

Center for Understanding Subsurface Signals and Permeability to advance enhanced geothermal systems with the goal of making them a widely accessible and reliable source of renewable energy.

The Center for Understanding Subsurface Signals and Permeability (CUSSP) experiment led by Pacific Northwest National Laboratory is one of 11 Energy Earthshots Research Centers funded by the Department Of Energy.  CUSSP will help scientists better understand how fluids transfer heat and interact with deep underground rock fractures over the long term.
