Chad Ronish

Chad is a member of the Education and Outreach team at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) working as a Science Education Specialist. His background includes 25 years of teaching high school Chemistry and Physics and a tour in the United States Navy on a Nuclear Power Submarine.  "I love doing science and trying to figure out how things work.  Teaching to me is supporting students as they get to investigate their own science questions and explore where their curiosity takes them."  Chad has been working with SURF since 2009 through programs like Quarknet and Research Experience for Teachers sponsored by the South Dakota Space Grant Consortium.
