Michelle De Camara

Michelle De Camara is a  Registered Professional Civil Engineer with over 25 years of experience in the environmental engineering field. She is knowledgeable in a variety of areas including environmental compliance, environmental remediation, and sustainability. 

Currently, she serves as Assistant Department Head for the Environmental Protection Department at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, a Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratory operated by Stanford University. In addition to departmental duties, she directly manages the Environmental Compliance Section, encompassing Air Quality, Stormwater, Industrial Wastewater, Tiered Permitting, Pollution Prevention and Wildlife Protection Programs and serves as the Environmental Management System (EMS) Program Manager. Prior to this role, she served as the Lab’s Environmental Restoration Group Leader. De Camara Holds MS and BS degrees in Civil Engineering.
